Job summary

Atlas Partners is assisting a major Victorian public health service in recruiting an experienced Revenue Manager to lead patient billing and collections for a large tertiary hospital. The role focuses on private, compensable and Medicare billing, with oversight of two team leaders and about ten staff across related teams.

You will own the full patient revenue cycle, drive reductions in aged debt, and implement MBS changes while collaborating with clinical directors to uncover missed revenue

Qualifications

• Experience leading a billing and collections team in a hospital or multi-service health environment.
• Hands-on knowledge of MBS, health funds and compensable (TAC, WorkSafe) billing.
• Experience managing a high-volume transactional team through team leaders.
• Ownership of aged debt, debtor days and month-end reconciliations.
• Understanding of Department of Health funding, NHRA and government reporting.
• Tertiary qualification in commerce, business, finance or similar.

Responsibilities

• Own the full patient revenue cycle including election, billing, receipting and debt management.
• Lead two team leaders and around 10 staff across Private Patient Liaison and Patient Accounts.
• Reduce aged debt and debtor days and manage month-end reconciliations.
• Work with clinical directors to identify revenue opportunities and system changes.
