Job summary

Healius is seeking a Pathology Collector for the Lake Maquarie south area, delivering a friendly and professional patient experience while collecting blood and other samples. This casual role involves accurate sample handling, documentation, and supporting daily operations.

You will join a supportive team, complete a 6-week training program, and have access to benefits through Healius. Previous pathology experience is welcome but not required; training is provided to help you start confidently.

Qualifications

• Experience in pathology collection is desirable but not essential.
• Certificate III in Pathology Collection is desirable but not essential.
• A background in healthcare (e.g. aged care, disability, nursing) or strong customer-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and other samples with care, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Provide a welcoming, calm and professional experience for patients.
• Prepare and package specimens for transport in line with procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and follow required processes.
• Support smooth daily operations across the collection site.
