Job summary

Laverty Pathology, part of Healius, is seeking a Pathology Collector to join the team in the Lake Maquarie area. You will collect blood and other samples, ensuring a welcoming patient experience and accurate processing to support timely diagnosis.

Experience in pathology collection is desirable but not essential; background in healthcare or strong customer-facing roles is valued. Training and ongoing support are provided within the Healius framework.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in pathology collection is desirable but not essential.
• A background in healthcare (e.g. aged care, disability, nursing) or strong customer-facing experience.
• Certificate III in Pathology Collection is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and other samples with care, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Provide a welcoming, calm and professional experience for patients.
• Prepare and package specimens for transport in line with procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and follow required processes.
• Support smooth daily operations across the collection site.
