Job summary

St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney is seeking a Pathology Collector to join Sydpath in Darlinghurst. This permanent part-time role (30hrs/week) involves early starts with a 7-day roster, focusing on blood collection, specimen handling and data entry to support a high-volume pathology service.

You will bring venepuncture expertise, attention to detail and a patient-centered approach while working as part of a skilled team committed to quality care and safety.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months’ experience in vacutainer blood collection and venepuncture.
• Experience handling specimen collection, preparation, storage and transport.
• Strong data entry and keyboard skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform venepuncture and specimen collection in a busy pathology setting.
• Assist with venesection and Synacthen testing as required.
• Ensure accurate data entry and maintain documentation per policy.
• Work collaboratively within a team while meeting WH&S requirements.
• Provide high-quality patient care and customer service.
