Job summary

4Cyte Pathology in Canberra seeks experienced pathology collectors to service multiple collection sites in the Canberra district, including Woden, Phillip, Gungahlin, Belconnen, Chisholm, and Lyneham. Part-time and casual roles are available across locations with weekend rostering.

Main duties include collecting blood and other specimens, performing ECGs and Holter monitoring, and processing pathology specimens. Candidates must have venepuncture experience, own car, and a current driver licence.

Qualifications

• Venepuncture experience essential with vacutainer method.
• Experience in ECGs and Holter monitoring.
• Ability to process pathology specimens and manage paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Collection of blood and other samples from patients.

About the role

We are seeking experienced Pathology Collectors to join our team and service multiple collection sites across the Canberra district.

Locations include, but not limited to:

• Woden/Phillip


• Kambah


• Gungahlin


• Belconnen


• Chisolm


• Lyneham

Part-Time and Casual positions are available for suitable candidates.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced collectors who enjoy working across different locations and are looking for flexibility while being part of a supportive and growing team.

Your primary duties will be to take blood and other specimens from patients including performing ECG's and Holter monitoring.

Skills and experience

Venepuncture experience essential with vacutainer method

• Collection of blood and other samples from patients


• Experience inECG's and Holter monitors


• Processing of Pathology Specimens


• Ability to work alone and participate in the weekend roster in any of our collection centres.


• Clerical duties and Process paperwork


• Own car and current driver licence is required


• Ability to communicate with the team, referring Doctors and patients


• Ability to provide dedication to patient care and service delivery


• Ability to demonstrate organisation and problem-solving skills


• Ability to prioritise and work under pressure


• Basic computer skills


• Comply with Work Health and Safety
