Job summary

4Cyte Pathology is seeking experienced Pathology Collectors to join our collection team servicing Tamworth, NSW and surrounding areas. Casual positions available and you will be taking blood and other specimens from patients, performing diagnostic and specialised collection tests.

Venepuncture experience is essential with vacutainer method, and you should be able to work independently, with weekend rostering across our collection centres. Valid driver licence and WHS compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Venepuncture experience essential with vacutainer method.
• Experience with ECGs and Holter monitors is desirable.
• Experience in processing pathology specimens.

Responsibilities

• Take blood and other specimens from patients.
• Perform diagnostic and specialised collection tests.
• Coordinate with collection centres and weekend roster.
• Clerical duties and process paperwork.

About the role

We are seeking experienced Pathology Collectors to join our collection team servicing Tamworth, NSW and surrounding areas.

Casual positions available.

Your primary duties will be to take blood and other specimens from patients including performing diagnostic and specialised collection tests.

Skills and experience

Venepuncture experience essential with vacutainer method

• Collection of blood and other samples from patients
• Experience in ECG's and Holter monitors
• Processing of Pathology Specimens
• Ability to work alone and participate in the weekend roster in any of our collection centres
• Clerical duties and Process paperwork
• Own car and current driver licence is required
• Ability to communicate with the team, referring Doctors and patients
• Ability to provide dedication to patient care and service delivery
• Ability to demonstrate organisation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
• Basic computer skills
• Comply with Work Health and Safety
• Fully Vaccinated for COVID 19
