Job summary

4Cyte Pathology is seeking experienced Pathology Collectors for Kempsey, NSW and surrounding areas. Casual positions available. Primary duties include taking blood and other specimens from patients and performing diagnostic and specialised collection tests.

Venepuncture experience is essential, with vacutainer method. Applicants should be able to work independently and communicate effectively with the team, doctors, and patients, and be willing to cover weekend rosters as needed.

Qualifications

• Venepuncture experience essential with vacutainer method.
• Experience in ECGs and Holter monitors.
• Processing of Pathology Specimens.
• Own car and current driver licence is required.
• Fully Vaccinated for COVID 19.
• Current Working with Children check clearance required on commencement.

Responsibilities

• Take blood and other specimens from patients.
• Perform diagnostic and specialised collection tests as required.
• Communicate with patients, referring doctors and the pathology team; participate in weekend roster.

Your primary duties will be to take blood and other specimens from patients including performing diagnostic and specialised collection tests.

Skills and experience

Venepuncture experience essential with vacutainer method

• Collection of blood and other samples from patients
• Experience in ECG's and Holter monitors
• Processing of Pathology Specimens
• Ability to work alone and participate in the weekend roster in any of our collection centres
• Clerical duties and Process paperworkOwn car and current driver licence is required
• Ability to communicate with the team, referring Doctors and patients
• Ability to provide dedication to patient care and service delivery
• Ability to demonstrate organisation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
• Basic computer skills
