Job summary

Restaurant Associates is seeking a Demi Chef to join our culinary team in Pyrmont, Sydney CBD. This full-time role offers a rotating roster between 6am and 6pm with weekday hours and weekends off.

You will be involved in food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, and stock control, while delivering friendly customer service and adhering to HACCP and OH&S guidelines in a busy kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Cert III Commercial Cookery is mandatory.
• Ability to work to a high standard in a busy kitchen.
• Experience in function work and large volume kitchens preferable.
• OH&S and HACCP knowledge desirable.

$32.30 per hour + 12 % Super

Pyrmont, Sydney CBD

• Full time Position Monday to Friday – Take back your weekends
• Rotating roster between 6am and 6pm

THE POSITION

• Food preparation and cooking
• Maintaining a high standard of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards
• Friendly customer service
• Stocktake and control
• HACCP compliance, food safety procedures and OH&S regulationsGeneral kitchen and cleaning duties as required.

THE PERSON

• Minimum Cert III Commercial Cookery (Mandatory)
• Can be highly organised & fast paced
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Experience in function work and large volume kitchen preferable
• Basic understanding of OH&S regulations, food safety & HACCP compliance
