Job summary

Restaurant Associates in Pyrmont, Sydney CBD invites a Demi Chef for a full-time role. You will cook and prepare foods, maintain high hygiene standards, and provide friendly service for events and daily dining.

The position offers a rotating roster 6am-6pm, Monday–Friday, with weekends free, and opportunities to grow your career within Compass Group’s hospitality teams in Sydney. Minimum Cert III Commercial Cookery is required; experience in high-volume function work is preferred.

• Food preparation and cooking required.
• Maintaining high standard of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness per Compass standards.
• Friendly customer service.
• Function work and large volume cooking.
• Stock take and control.
• HACCP compliance, food safety procedures and OH&S regulations.

Demi Chef Full time

$32.30 per hour + 12 % Super

Pyrmont, Sydney CBD

• Full time Position Monday to Friday - Take back your weekends
• Rotating roster between 6am and 6pm

THE POSITION

• Food preparation and cooking
• Maintaining a high standard of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards
• Friendly customer service
• Function work and large volume cooking
• Stocktake and control
• HACCP compliance, food safety procedures and OH&S regulations
• General kitchen and cleaning duties as required.

THE PERSON

• Minimum Cert III Commercial Cookery (Mandatory)
• An understanding of Café style food advantageous
• Can be highly organised & fast paced
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Experience in function work and large volume kitchen preferable
• Basic understanding of OH&S regulations, food safety & HACCP compliance
