Cake Boutique in Sydney is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef / Cake Decorator to join our busy production team. You will produce and decorate a range of cakes and desserts to a high standard, including wedding and celebration cakes, while mastering fondant finishing and tiered structures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a pastry chef, cake decorator or cake artist.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Pastry Chef / Cake Decorator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cake production, decorating and construction, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a busy production environment.

About the Role

You will be responsible for producing and decorating a range of cakes and desserts to a high standard. The role involves both baking and detailed cake finishing, including wedding and celebration cakes.

Key Responsibilities

• Baking cakes, sponge cakes and other pastry products
• Cutting, leveling and filling cakes accurately
• Ganaching and preparing cakes for decoration
• Working confidently with buttercream

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience with sculpting and custom cake designs

Working Hours

This is a full-time position.

You will be working in a busy cake production environment where meeting deadlines and completing orders in a timely manner is essential.
