Job summary

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd in Rockhampton is seeking a Parts Expeditor to join our team. This permanent Monday to Friday role focuses on sourcing, ordering and expediting parts to support workshop activities and maintenance schedules.

You will work closely with Tractor Shop and Workshop teams, manage POs, monitor availability and keep stakeholders updated on delivery timelines and risks. Prior experience in parts or automotive environments is desirable.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills and phone manner.
• Ability to acquire knowledge of CAT and associated products, parts and services.
• Intermediate computer skills and ability to learn business systems.
• High level of attention to detail, with strong verbal and written communication.
• Previous parts or automotive experience would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Source, order and expedite parts to support scheduled workshop activities.
• Manage purchase orders and liaise with Caterpillar, Minepack and external suppliers.
• Monitor parts availability, track backorders and escalate supply issues to minimise delays.
• Coordinate parts transfers, deliveries and inventory requirements to meet workshop deadlines.
• Work closely with workshop teams to understand parts requirements and changing priorities.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting across business systems and parts tracking tools.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on parts status, delivery timelines and potential risks.
• Support continuous improvement through proactive problem-solving and process management.

We are on the hunt for a Parts Expeditor to join our award-winning team in Rockhampton. This is a permanent Monday to Friday role.

Working closely with our Tractor Shop and Workshop teams, you’ll help ensure parts are sourced, tracked, and delivered on time to support machine overhaul and maintenance schedules.

As a Parts Expeditor, you will:

• Source, order and expedite parts to support scheduled workshop activities.
