Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is hiring an experienced Parts Supervisor in Townsville, QLD to lead daily warehouse operations and drive safety, accuracy, and customer service. You will coach a dedicated team, oversee parts logistics, and ensure continuous improvement across the operation.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this permanent role offers a structured workweek (Mon–Fri), long-term security, and opportunities for leadership development within a global Caterpillar dealership

Qualifications

• Experience leading warehousing or parts operations teams.
• Proven ability to improve inventory accuracy.

• Experience with warehouse management systems is preferred.

• Lead, coach and develop the team - foster a high-performing culture by mentoring and supporting warehouse and parts professionals to achieve individual and team success.
• Oversee warehouse operations - manage daily warehouse activities to ensure productivity, accuracy, efficiency, and smooth operational performance.
• Promote a safety-first culture - champion workplace health and safety practices, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment for all team members.
• Maintain inventory accuracy - monitor stock levels and control processes to ensure accurate inventory management and minimise discrepancies.
• Coordinate parts logistics - oversee the timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of parts to support customer and operational requirements.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships - develop positive partnerships with customers and internal teams to deliver exceptional service and support.
• Drive continuous improvement - identify and implement opportunities to enhance warehouse processes, efficiency, and overall operational effectiveness.
• Manage workforce planning - oversee team performance, rostering, and resource allocation to ensure operational demands are met effectively.
• Ensure compliance and quality standards - uphold company policies, procedures, and quality requirements across all warehouse and parts activities.
• Supervise front-of-house parts operations - manage customer-facing spare parts activities, ensuring efficient service, accurate transactions, and a positive customer experience.
