Job summary

Hastings Deering in Rockhampton is seeking a permanent Parts Expeditor to support the Tractor Shop and Workshop teams. Source, order and expedite parts to keep maintenance schedules on track and reduce downtime.

This role focuses on liaising with Caterpillar and external suppliers, maintaining records, and expediting supply issues to meet deadlines. Monday to Friday, on-site with strong customer service expectations.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills and phone manner.
• Knowledge of CAT and associated products, parts and services.
• Intermediate computer skills and ability to learn business systems.
• Attention to detail with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous parts or automotive experience would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Source, order and expedite parts to support scheduled workshop activities.
• Manage purchase orders and liaise with Caterpillar, Minepack and external suppliers.
• Monitor parts availability, track backorders and expedite supply issues to minimise delays.
• Coordinate parts transfers, deliveries and inventory requirements to meet workshop deadlines.
• Work closely with workshop teams to understand parts requirements and changing priorities.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting across business systems and parts tracking tools.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on parts status, delivery timelines and potential risks.
• Support continuous improvement through proactive problem-solving and process management.

We are on the hunt for a Parts Expeditor to join our award-winning team in Rockhampton. This is a permanent Monday to Friday role.

Working closely with our Tractor Shop and Workshop teams, you'll help ensure parts are sourced, tracked, and delivered on time to support machine overhaul and maintenance schedules.

As a Parts Expeditor, you will:

• Source, order and expedite parts to support scheduled workshop activities.
• Manage purchase orders and liaise with Caterpillar, Minepack and external suppliers.
