Job summary

Melton City Council is seeking a creative storyteller and program facilitator for a fixed-term role from November 2026 to October 2027. The position is 28 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, with 1:4 Thursday evenings and 1:4 Saturday mornings.

• Experience in public libraries or customer‑focussed organisations.
• Passion for storytelling and community engagement.
• Experience delivering programs for children.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality customer service across library services and guide staff as needed.
• Rostered shifts at library facilities or outreach points to maximise resources.
• Support delivery of early years and school years programs through proposals and planning.
• Deliver a range of early years and primary programs including story time, baby bounce, and holiday programs.
