Job summary

University of Canberra is seeking a Senior Careers Consultant to join the Careers & Employability team at Bruce. This fixed-term 0.4 FTE role supports students in making informed career decisions, building career management skills, and transitioning into employment.

You will design and deliver career development programs, maintain resources, and build strong relationships with employers and stakeholders across the university.

Qualifications

• Experience in career development, career coaching or advisory services.
• Membership with CDAA or NAGCAS highly regarded
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences
• Ability to develop, review, and deliver career content online and in person.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one career coaching and guidance to students
• Support career planning, decision-making, job search strategies, and employability development
• Design, develop, facilitate and evaluate career development programs, workshops, webinars, and presentations
• Create, review and maintain career development resources, online content, publications, and digital learning materials
• Build and maintain relationships with employers, industry partners, and university stakeholders to support student outcomes
• Promote Careers & Employability services across the university community
• Represent the university at industry events, employer engagement activities and committees
