The Pathway Group is seeking a part-time Trust Accountant to support residential sales and property management in Melbourne. Working four days per week from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, you will manage daily trust accounting and assist with month-end processes.

Responsibilities include processing receipts and payments, rental disbursements, settlements, reconciliations, and preparing landlord statements. You will collaborate with a fellow Trust Accountant and handle audits and inquiries with meticulous

• Experience in real estate trust accounting across sales and property management.
• Proficient in Box and Dice, PropertyMe (PME) and Xero.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of trust accounting legislation and compliance.

Trust Accountant – Residential Sales & Property Management

The Pathway Group is seeking an experienced Trust Accountant to join a residential real estate agency, working across both sales and property management.

Working four days per week, from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm, you’ll work alongside another Trust Accountant to keep the agency’s financial operations running smoothly. Salary will be paid on a pro rata basis.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing daily trust accounting across residential sales and property management.

Processing receipts, payments, rental disbursements and sales settlements.

Completing bank reconciliations and end-of-month processes.

Preparing landlord statements and financial reports.

Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with trust accounting requirements.

Supporting audits and responding to account enquiries.

Assisting the other Trust Accountant with general accounting and day-to-day financial administration.

Providing leave cover for the other Trust Accountant to ensure continuity of accounting operations.

About you

Previous experience in real estate trust accounting across sales and property management.

Experience using Box and Dice, PropertyMe (PME) and Xero.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Knowledge of trust accounting legislation and compliance requirements.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

The confidence to work independently and a collaborative approach to supporting your colleagues.
