Job summary

Clarity Partners is seeking an experienced finance professional to join a commercial and collaborative environment with broad exposure across trust accounting, property-related accounting, reporting, cash flow and compliance.

You’ll work closely with experienced finance and property professionals to further develop your accounting expertise within a specialist property environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in property trust accounting.
• Confident managing trust accounts and accounting in a property environment.
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or related discipline is required.
• CA/CPA is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting across a portfolio of trusts and assets.
• Complete trust accounting, reconciliations and maintain records.
• Process tenant-related transactions, receipts, expenses and property-related payments.
• Assist with monthly accounting and reporting processes.
• Prepare account reconciliations and financial information.
• Monitor trust account balances and coordinate payments and owner remittances.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Support GST and taxation requirements.
• Prepare information for trust and audits.
• Collaborate with property and asset management teams.
• Identify discrepancies, risks and opportunities and escalate.
• Contribute to improvements across finance processes and systems.

About the Role

About You

• We’re looking for an experienced finance professional with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in property trust accounting.
• You’ll need to be confident managing trust accounts and have a strong understanding of accounting requirements within a property environment.
• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline is required
• CA/CPA is desirable
