Job summary

Bayside Health is seeking a Registered Undergraduate Student of Nursing (RUSON) to support the General Ward team in Leongatha, Victoria. The role involves delivering safe, person-centred care under supervision, and developing nursing knowledge during undergraduate studies.

The position is fixed-term, part-time (16 hours per fortnight) for 12 months, with opportunities for learning and professional growth within a collaborative health service serving a large regional community.

Qualifications

• Entitlement to work within Australia
• Police Check current within 12 months
• Working with Children Check
• Seasonal influenza vaccination for healthcare workers
• Enrolled in 2nd/3rd year nursing student registered with AHPRA
• Transcript of evidence of first-year nursing qualification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Caring, pro-active, engaging with a willingness to learn
• Ability to work casual AM, PM and ND shifts across 7 days rotating roster

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of safe, person-centred care under supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Assist with delegated clinical and personal care activities within approved scope of practice
• Contribute to health and wellbeing of patients and residents by reporting changes and adhering to standards
