Job summary

Bayside Health, serving Koo Wee Rup Campus, seeks a RUSON to assist the nursing team by providing delegated patient care under supervision. You will work with registered nurses and midwives across shifts on a rotating roster while developing clinical skills in a state-of-the-art facility.

The role targets current nursing students enrolled with AHPRA, offering valuable experience, training opportunities, and support through our Employee Assistance Program and salary packaging options.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in 2nd year of Nursing or 3rd year Nursing/Midwifery and registered as a student nurse with AHPRA
• Transcript of evidence of first year undergraduate Nursing qualification from an Australian university
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Able to work casual AM/PM/ND shifts across 7 days on a rotating roster
• Valid Police Check and Working with Children’s Check
• Previous healthcare experience is an advantage
• Evidence of semester clinical reports
• Awareness of current nursing issues and trends
• Commitment to ongoing education and professional development

Responsibilities

• Assist registered nurses and midwives with delegated patient care
• Work within ward/unit duty lists as allocated
• Provide direct and indirect patient care as directed by supervising RN
