Job summary

Evolve Housing is a not-for-profit social and affordable housing provider based in Parramatta. The HR role supports employees, managers and stakeholders with practical, professional advice while delivering an excellent employee experience across recruitment, onboarding, ER, learning and policy.

You’ll contribute to diversity and inclusion, wellbeing and employee experience, while navigating policies, payroll, leave and workplace legislation.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years’ experience in a generalist HR role, including recruitment and employee relations
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
• Sound knowledge of contemporary HR practices and employment legislation
• Interest in working across a broad range of People & Culture activities
• Proactive, solutions-focused and accountable approach
• Professionalism, diplomacy and respect for confidentiality
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage competing priorities
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team
• Strong digital capability, including Microsoft 365 and HR information systems

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HR advice and support to managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle
• Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and induction activities
• Support managers with performance, probation and employee relations matters
• Identify workforce capability needs and deliver targeted learning and development initiatives
• Contribute to employee engagement, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion initiatives
• Manage employee grievances and workplace matters with professionalism and sound judgement
• Review and improve HR policies, processes and systems
• Support WHS, return-to-work and legislative compliance activities
• Contribute to People & Culture projects that enhance the employee experience and workplace culture
