Job summary

ESV is seeking a Payroll & HR Administrator to join our People & Culture team in Australia. This part‑time role (three days a week or more) is ideal for a payroll or HR admin professional seeking flexibility or someone completing a business, commerce or HR degree who wants hands‑on experience in a professional services firm.

You will run monthly payroll, manage compliance (Payroll Tax, PAYG, Superannuation, STP), assist with contracts, HRIS (Employment Hero) administration, offboarding,

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Payroll experience preferred but not essential.
• Proficiency in Xero and XPM will help you hit the ground running.
• Understanding Australian HR and payroll legislation (Fair Work, superannuation, payroll tax, WHS).
• Completing or having completed a degree in accounting, business, HR or related field.

Responsibilities

• Run monthly payroll and manage payroll compliance obligations (Payroll Tax, PAYG, Superannuation, STP).
• Support preparation of employment contracts and related documentation.
• Manage offboarding for exiting staff.
• Administer HRIS (Employment Hero) including records and templates.
• Provide light admin support across recruitment, onboarding and general P&C enquiries.
• Support ad hoc P&C projects (e.g., RU OK Day and surveys).
