Job summary

Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology in the Upper Blue Mountains is seeking enthusiastic Part-Time Pathology Collectors to join our Patient Services Team. You will collect blood and non-blood samples, perform basic ECG/Holter procedures, and prepare specimens for transport to the lab.

This role requires a minimum 20 hours per week, unrestricted Australian working rights, a National Police Check, Working with Children clearance and HLTAID011 First Aid.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
• National Police Check and Working with Children clearance required.
• First Aid Certificate HLTAID011 prior to commencement.
• Minimum 20 hours per week commitment.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and non-blood samples from patients and conduct basic tests.
• Follow guidelines to ensure samples are accurately labelled.
• Guide patients on sampling procedures and prepare specimens for transport to the laboratory.
• Maintain accurate records with high attention to detail.
