Job summary

Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology is seeking enthusiastic Pathology Collectors to join our Patient Services Team in the Upper Blue Mountains. You will collect samples, label them accurately, guide patients on sampling procedures, and prepare specimens for transport to the lab.

A comprehensive training program supports students wishing to gain clinical experience in a fast-paced setting. Part-time hours on a scheduled roster, including weekends, are available.

Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology is an established and well-respected pathology practice offering comprehensive, high-quality pathology across NSW and north-west Victoria. We are seeking enthusiastic Pathology Collectors to join our vibrant Patient Services Team. You will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include the following:

• Collecting blood and non-blood samples from patients including conducting basic tests such as ECG and Holter Monitoring
• Following strict guidelines and procedures to ensure all samples are accurately labelled
• Guiding patients or caregivers on sampling procedures
• Preparing specimens for transportation to the laboratory

A National Police Check, Working with Children clearance and First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) will be required prior to commencement.

Please note, our program requires a non-negotiable minimum 25 hour per week commitment.
