Job summary

Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology is seeking enthusiastic Part-Time Pathology Collectors to join our Patient Services Team in Mildura, Victoria. You will collect blood and non-blood samples, perform basic tests like ECG and Holter Monitoring, and prepare specimens for transport to the laboratory.

Experience is not required as training is provided; this role suits someone re-entering healthcare or seeking a career change, with a scheduled roster Monday to Sunday and a minimum of 25 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience and qualifications are optional; high level of professional training will be provided.
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia required.
• National Police Check completed through system, Working with Children clearance and First Aid Certificate HLTAID011 required prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and non-blood samples from patients, including basic tests such as ECG and Holter Monitoring.
• Follow guidelines to ensure correct labelling of samples.
• Guide patients or caregivers on sampling procedures.
• Prepare specimens for transportation to the laboratory.
