Job summary

Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology in the Upper Blue Mountains is seeking enthusiastic Part-Time Pathology Collectors to join our Patient Services Team. You will collect blood and non-blood samples, perform basic ECG/Holter procedures, and prepare specimens for transport to the lab.

This role requires a minimum 20 hours per week, unrestricted Australian working rights, a National Police Check, Working with Children clearance and HLTAID011 First Aid.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology is an established and well-respected pathology practice offering comprehensive, high-quality pathology across NSW and north-west Victoria. We are seeking enthusiastic Part-Time Pathology Collectors to join our vibrant Patient Services Team. You will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include the following:

• Collecting blood and non-blood samples from patients, including conducting basic tests such as ECG and Holter Monitoring
• Following strict guidelines and procedures to ensure all samples are accurately labelled
• Guiding patients or caregivers on sampling procedures
• Preparing specimens for transportation to the laboratory

We offer a comprehensive training program suitable for medical/health science students wishing to gain valuable experience in a clinical environment whilst studying. You will learn high-quality patient care and valuable clinical skills in a fast-paced, flexible working environment.

Is open to working part-time hours on a scheduled roster, Monday to Sunday.

Please note, our program requires a non-negotiable minimum 20 hours per week commitment.

Prior to commencement, all candidates must provide documentary evidence of the following:

• Unrestricted working rights in Australia
• A National Police Check, Working with Children clearance and First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) will be required prior to commencement.
