Job summary

Healius is seeking a Pathology Collector in New South Wales for a permanent part-time role at 20 hours per week. You will greet patients, collect venous blood samples, and assist with diagnostic procedures while upholding quality procedures.

A 6-week paid training program is provided by Healius, with full-time attendance for the first 2 weeks and a minimum of 25 hours per week for the remaining weeks. A supportive team environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Pathology collection experience preferred.
• Background in healthcare, aged care, disability support, or customer service welcome.
• WWCC or willingness to obtain prior to start.
• Immunisation evidence including Hepatitis B required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and manage waiting area with care.
• Perform venepuncture and collect pathology specimens.
• Conduct diagnostic tests such as ECGs and blood pressure monitoring.
• Maintain accurate patient records and specimen registers.
• Prepare and package specimens for transport to laboratories.
• Manage patient communications and process payments where required.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional collection environment.
