Job summary

Healius is hiring a Part‑time Pathology Collector in Queensland. You will interact with patients to collect blood and other specimens, perform basic diagnostic tasks, and ensure samples are handled per procedures. Training is provided during onboarding.

We value strong communication, reliability and the ability to work independently within a team. Applicants based near collection centres with WWCC readiness are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Pathology collection experience preferred or healthcare/customer-service background.
• Certificate III in Pathology Collection preferred.
• Strong communication and rapport with patients.
• Ability to follow procedures and work independently.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to a team.
• WWCC required or willing to obtain.
• Immunisation evidence including Hepatitis B.
• Live within 45km radius of collection centre (25km for metro).

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, manage waiting room and explain collection procedures.
• Perform venepuncture and collect pathology specimens.
• Conduct diagnostic tests as required (ECGs, BP, Holter).
• Maintain accurate patient records and specimen registers.
• Prepare and package specimens for transport to labs.
• Manage patient communications and payments where needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, professional environment.
