Job summary

Emmanuel College Gold Coast is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Educational Assistant for the Senior School. This permanent part-time role is 3 days per week starting Term 1, 2027, located on the Gold Coast in Carrara, Australia.

The role supports students with disabilities and additional learning needs, working with teachers to implement adjustments, develop resources, and foster inclusion in English, Humanities and Science classes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated literacy and strong English communication skills.
• Sound ICT skills and comfort with digital learning platforms.
• Strong organisational skills and initiative to work with teams.
• Patient, compassionate and adaptable approach to diverse learners.
• Commitment to safety protocols (Working with Children Card, CPR) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group learning support within the classroom.
• Assist teachers with learning adjustments and differentiated activities.
• Support literacy tasks, organisation and assessment requirements for students.
• Encourage independence, engagement and positive social interactions.
• Prepare and adapt learning resources to meet diverse student needs.
• Support student wellbeing and inclusion through college activities.
• Maintain learning records and general Learning Support administration.
• Collaborate with teachers and Learning Support staff to ensure consistent support.
