Job summary

Nambour Christian College in Queensland is seeking a caring Teacher Assistant to join the Learning Enrichment team. You will support students with diverse learning needs, assisting with literacy, numeracy and classroom participation under teachers' guidance.

This is a permanent, term-time position, five days per week, 8:00 am to 3:15 pm, starting Term 1, January 2027. A Certificate IV in Education Support (or equivalent) and a current Blue Card are essential; salary is set in the NCC Enterprise

Qualifications

Preferred Certificate IV in Education Support or equivalent, with qualifications relating to working with students with disability.
A current Blue Card is essential.
Ability to build respectful connections with students while maintaining professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

Provide practical learning support for students with disabilities and diverse learning needs.
Assist with literacy, numeracy, and subject-specific tasks.
Support classroom participation, excursions, breaks and Learning Enrichment programs.
Collaborate with Learning Enrichment Teachers, classroom teachers and other Teacher Assistants to implement differentiated teaching strategies.
