Job summary

Bendigo Kangan Institute is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to develop learner-centred courseware and assessments for face-to-face, blended and online delivery. You will create high-quality online resources using Moodle and other digital authoring tools.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers and subject matter experts, autonomy in managing briefs, and delivering clear, practical learning experiences across multiple formats.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an Instructional Designer in a TAFE or higher education environment.
• Certificate IV Training and Assessment (essential) or Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or Diploma of Vocational Training Design & Development/and or equivalent industry experience (preferred).
• Demonstrated experience designing learner-centred courseware, assessment and educational content across multiple delivery formats.
• Experience developing digital learning resources using a learning management system, ideally Moodle, and digital authoring tools.
• A relevant tertiary qualification.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with curiosity, sound judgement and the ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Design engaging, learner-centred training and educational content for face-to-face, blended and online delivery.
• Develop and improve courseware, assessment resources and digital learning materials, including content delivered through Moodle.
• Partner with teachers, subject matter experts and stakeholders to translate complex information into clear, practical learning experiences.
• Work autonomously from project briefs while asking thoughtful questions to clarify needs and achieve quality outcomes.
