Job summary

Lake Macquarie City Council is seeking a creative eLearning Instructional Design Specialist to design, develop and deliver online learning content for a diverse workforce. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, manage multiple learning design projects and evolve the LMS with accessibility in mind, including Storyboard to publish workflows.

The part-time role (21 hours/week) offers a flexible mix of on-site and home-based work, with opportunities to influence organisation-wide

Qualifications

• A minimum Certificate IV qualification in organisational learning and development, instructional design, learning sciences or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Extensive experience designing and developing interactive learning with tools such as Articulate 360, Storyline 360, Rise 360, Vyond or Adobe Creative Cloud or similar authoring tools.
• Experience publishing online learning for LMS delivery and administering or managing an LMS. Cornerstone LMS is highly desirable.
• Sound knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and accessible design.
• Ability to troubleshoot LMS issues and work with HTML and CSS with strong stakeholder and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver online learning content, digital products and capability solutions for a diverse workforce.
• Transform source material into clear, interactive and accessible learning experiences across professional development, compliance and digital capability.
• Manage a varied portfolio of learning design projects and evolve the Council’s LMS.
• Storyboard, multimedia production, publishing, testing and troubleshooting of learning materials.
• Ensure learning is practical, inclusive and WCAG compliant.
