Safran Electronics & Defense Australasia Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking a part-time Information, Communications and Technology Officer to provide frontline ICT support, maintain systems, and help secure IT resources across the Australian arm.

The role focuses on reliability, security, and efficient service for employees, with three days per week, on-site in Botany, and opportunities to contribute to IT projects in a defence/high-technology environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ICT or related discipline.
• Internships/academic projects exposing ICT systems and frontline support.
• Basic understanding of computer systems and tech products.
• Familiarity with Windows/macOS and common office software.
• Experience in IT support or helpdesk is a plus.
• Certifications such as CompTIA ITF+ or Microsoft Fundamentals are advantageous.
• Interest in defence, aerospace, or high-tech industries.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to end-users, on-site and remotely.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, ICT equipment.
• Assist with installation, configuration, upgrade of IT systems.
• Track ICT assets and licenses.
• Support user accounts: passwords and access permissions.
• Maintain ICT incident records and procedures.
• Assist with basic network setup and Wi-Fi support.
• Help ensure ICT security policies are followed.
• Provide basic IT training to employees.
• Participate in IT projects or rollouts under supervision.
