Job summary

Downer Professional Services in Canberra is seeking an IT Security Officer to manage security for the ADF EFB and AMTACS capabilities. You will oversee security governance, risk assessments and incident response while coordinating with Defence stakeholders to maintain authorisation and compliance throughout the capability lifecycle.

The role requires current security clearance, deep knowledge of ISM and DSPF, and experience supporting secure ICT environments within Defence or government sectors.

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications in Information Security, Cyber Security, Information Technology or related discipline.
• Experience delivering IT security management in Defence, Government or complex enterprise ICT environments.
• Strong knowledge of ISM, DSPF and associated cyber security policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain system security; investigate incidents; provide risk and compliance advice.
• Report security matters to system owners and maintain accreditation and governance documentation.
• Support Senior Engineering Manager; align security activities with Defence security requirements and priorities.
• Engage with Defence stakeholders and partners to manage cyber risks and maintain system authorisation throughout the lifecycle.
