Job summary

Local Kitchen Co is seeking a part-time HR Business Partner to support managers across kitchen operations, retail, logistics and support functions. You’ll provide practical HR advice, help with recruitment, onboarding and performance conversations, and embed HR policies into daily practice.

You’ll work closely with management, ensuring employment conditions and WHS considerations are right sized for our busy operational environment, with regular time at our sites to connect with teams.

Qualifications

• Broad HR generalist experience and ability to work independently.
• Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and Modern Awards.
• Experience supporting managers with employee relations and performance matters.
• Practical understanding of WHS and injury management.
• Good judgement, discretion and the ability to provide clear advice.
• Strong organisational skills and a knack for simplicity and execution.
• Relevant HR qualifications or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HR advice and support to managers across operations, retail, logistics and support functions.
• Support recruitment, contracts, induction and onboarding.
• Coach leaders to set expectations and give useful feedback.
• Embed HR policies and processes into everyday work.
• Offer guidance on employment conditions, Modern Awards, and classifications.
• Assist with WHS and injury management activities with managers.
• Keep employee records up to date and support Tanda usage.
• Contribute to workforce planning and learning and development.
