Job summary

Mater Group is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our People & Culture team on a project-based role (15 hours per week until January 2027) focused on building leadership capability across our Hospital Partnerships portfolio.

This role collaborates with senior leaders to translate workforce insights into practical people solutions, designing capability-building initiatives that drive leadership effectiveness and organisational performance within a not-for-profit healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Proven HR Business Partnering experience within a complex environment.
• Experience leading leadership capability, organisational development or workforce improvement initiatives.
• Strong facilitation, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• The ability to analyse workforce data and rapidly develop targeted solutions.
• A pragmatic, delivery-focused approach with the confidence to operate autonomously.
• Healthcare experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Partnering with hospital and operational leaders to identify leadership capability priorities.
• Using workforce data and organisational insights to diagnose capability gaps and opportunities.
• Designing and facilitating leadership development initiatives, workshops and capability programs.
• Developing practical leadership resources, tools and frameworks that can be scaled across the organisation.
• Applying organisational development and organisation design principles to improve team effectiveness and leadership impact.
• Coaching and influencing leaders to strengthen capability and performance outcomes.
• Delivering tangible workforce improvements within a defined project timeframe.
