Job summary

Gemini Court Holiday Apartments on the Gold Coast seeks a hands-on Housekeeper to clean and service apartments and to inspect contractor-cleaned rooms for readiness. You will decide when an apartment is guest-ready and provide feedback to the contractor as needed, ensuring consistent high standards.

You will cover daily cleaning with emphasis on accuracy, organise linen and stock, and collaborate with reception on priorities such as late checkouts and early arrivals.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' housekeeping experience in a hotel, resort or serviced apartments.
• Room inspection or team leader experience is highly regarded.
• High personal cleaning standards and a real eye for detail.
• Confident giving feedback to others.
• Organised, reliable and happy to work independently.
• Physically fit for cleaning work and moving between floors.
• Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service departure and stayover apartments to our standard.
• Cover touch-ups, re-cleans and urgent rooms for early arrivals.
• Keep linen, amenities and cleaning stock organised.
• Inspect apartments every day using the room inspection checklist.
• Release rooms as guest-ready, or send them back to the contractor to be redone.
• Give clear, respectful feedback to the contractor's team.
• Record inspection results and recurring issues.
• Work with reception on priorities, late checkouts and early arrivals.
• Report maintenance faults and damage, and follow up.
• Help handle guest complaints about cleanliness.

About us

SBR Group manages holiday and apartment hotel properties across South East Queensland. Gemini Court Holiday Apartments has just joined the group, and we want a hands-on housekeeper with a sharp eye for detail who will make sure every guest walks into a spotless apartment.

The role

Reporting directly to the Resort Manager, this is a hands-on role with two parts. You'll clean and service apartments yourself as needed, and you'll inspect apartments cleaned by our housekeeping contractor against our cleaning standard. You'll be the person who decides an apartment is ready for a guest.
