Job summary

Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) is seeking a Home Care Rostering Coordinator for a part-time position. You will efficiently coordinate and schedule home care services to meet client needs, maintain high client satisfaction, and maximise staff utilisation.

Preferred hours are Monday to Wednesday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with on-site duties in NSW. Your responsibilities include creating schedules, liaising with clients, assigning staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance while supporting a seamless delivery

Qualifications

• Experience in rostering, scheduling or coordination roles, ideally in healthcare or home care.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities when liaising with clients, staff and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with scheduling software; able to learn new systems quickly, preferably Alayacare.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain schedules for home care services considering client preferences and staff availability.
• Liaise with clients and families to understand needs and scheduling changes.
• Assign staff to clients based on skills, availability and continuity of care.
• Allocate resources to minimise travel time while complying with policies and regulations.
• Communicate scheduling updates clearly between clients, staff and internal teams.
• Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts to maintain service continuity.
• Maintain accurate records of client schedules and rosters for compliance.
