Job summary

The Trustee for NPR Trust ATF New Point Recruitment on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a permanent part-time role, three days per week, with potential to grow to full-time as the business scales.

The role requires a hands-on finance professional who can drive cost visibility, profitability analysis and cashflow management across multiple entities, partnering with the CEO and operations teams.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience within manufacturing, engineering or a product/project-based environment.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and cashflow capability.
• Understanding of COGS, margins, inventory/WIP and cost allocation.
• Multi-entity experience and exposure to R&D Tax Incentive claims would be highly regarded.
• Excellent Excel and systems skills.

Responsibilities

• Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management across multiple entities.
• Financial and management reporting, including variance analysis.
• COGS, margin and profitability analysis across products, projects and work centres.
• Financial modelling to support pricing and commercial decisions.
• Improving purchasing controls, cost allocation and spend visibility.
• Managing month-end, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Collaborating with operations and engineering to improve financial performance, including R&D expenditure and Tax Incentive claims.
• Managing banking and external advisors while supporting the accounts team.
