Job summary

Ambition Group Limited in Sydney is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager for a part‑time role, three days per week in a central CBD office. You will be the senior finance contact, driving financial control, budgeting and reporting while supporting the MD with accurate numbers and forecast variances.

You will manage payroll tax, BAS, contractor payments and supervise the Accounts Assistant. This role requires CPA/CA, practical experience in a small to mid-size business, and familiarity with MYOB,

Qualifications

• Actively hands-on in a small to mid-size business.
• Experience with contingent pay cycles and audits.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and build processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial control, month-end close, cash flow and monthly reporting.
• Prepare budgets and variance commentary for the MD.
• Produce monthly commission reports.
• Lodge payroll tax and BAS.
• Coordinate external audits and government reporting.
• Manage insurances, WHS and workers' compensation.
• Oversee fortnightly contractor pay and super.
• Mentor the Accounts Assistant.
• Improve processes and systems as the business grows.
