Job summary

UTS Child Care is seeking a skilled, enthusiastic and committed Chef for Magic Pudding Child Care Centre in Ultimo, Sydney. This permanent part-time role is 1–2 days per week, working in a job-share arrangement to coordinate menus, ordering and daily kitchen operations.

You will plan nutritious meals for children aged 0–5, accommodate allergies, maintain high food safety standards and work closely with educators to support health and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery with hands-on kitchen experience.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and NSW Food Handling Certificate current.
• Working with Children Check clearance is required.
• Ability to plan nutritious, age-appropriate meals for 0–5 years.
• Demonstrated hygiene, storage and cross-contamination prevention knowledge.
• Experience working in a job-share or collaborative kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare healthy meals for children aged 0–5 years.
• Prepare daily morning tea, lunch and snacks.
• Cater to dietary restrictions and allergies.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
• Manage food supplies, ordering and budgeting.
• Collaborate with educators to support children's wellbeing.
