Job summary

Ausgrid in Newcastle is hiring multiple part-time Customer Service Representatives to join our Contact Centre on a 25-hour per week, fixed-term contract of up to 12 months, with shifts between 9:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

As the voice of Ausgrid, you will help customers navigate enquiries, service requests and outages across channels, maintain accurate records, and deliver professional, empathetic service.

Qualifications

• To be successful in this role, you'll have: strong emotional intelligence and the ability to understand customer needs with empathy and professionalism.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both over the phone and in writing.
• Strong active listening and problem-solving abilities to resolve enquiries.
• Confidence managing challenging conversations while maintaining professionalism.
• Ability to quickly learn and confidently navigate multiple systems and platforms.

Responsibilities

• As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be the voice of Ausgrid for our customers, helping them navigate enquiries and service requests.
• You will assist with planned outages and unexpected network incidents across multiple channels.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure every interaction is handled with empathy and care.
