Local Residential Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a part-time Compliance Officer to oversee FIRB requirements and AML/CTF obligations while scaling our compliance framework. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, you will work with Legal and Finance to embed regulatory controls across the business.

The role focuses on turning complex regulatory rules into practical processes, with flexible hours and a one-day-per-week from-home arrangement.

Qualifikationen

• 3–5 years’ compliance/regulatory or legal experience with government requirements.
• Strong understanding of regulatory bodies and reporting.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Background in financial services or asset management is transferable.
• Paralegal or public sector compliance experience is welcome.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing regulations.

Aufgaben

• Manage periodic and annual regulatory reporting obligations.
• Administer AML/CTF compliance program for real estate transactions.
• Support AFSL establishment and ongoing compliance reporting.
• Assist privacy compliance and regulatory documentation.
• Maintain accurate business and corporate structure records.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise on implications.
• Collaborate with Legal and Finance to embed compliance in processes.
• Foster relationships with internal teams and external parties.
• Uphold ethical conduct with regulators, advisors and service providers.
• Comply with Workplace Health and Safety policies and promote safety culture.
