Job summary

people2people is seeking a Risk & Compliance Officer in Melbourne to own the firm\'s compliance framework, with a focus on AML/CTF, governance and risk management.

Reporting to the CEO, you will develop, implement and maintain policies and monitoring, lead regulatory reporting, and mentor two direct reports while collaborating with senior stakeholders to strengthen our compliance posture.

Qualifications

• Experience in Risk, Compliance, AML/CTF or Financial Crime.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and governance frameworks.
• Exposure to AUSTRAC obligations and AML/CTF compliance requirements.
• Experience managing KYC, CDD and compliance monitoring activities.
• Policy development and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work both strategically and operationally.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building capability.

Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining AML/CTF compliance frameworks.
• Overseeing KYC, CDD and ongoing monitoring activities.
• Conducting compliance reviews, controls testing and risk assessments.
• Developing and maintaining policies, procedures and compliance documentation.
• Managing regulatory reporting and compliance obligations.
• Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments.
• Delivering compliance training and awareness initiatives.
• Maintaining risk registers and supporting governance activities.
• Partnering with senior stakeholders across the business.
• Leading and mentoring two direct reports.
