IHG’s Crowne Plaza Adelaide, home to Koomo, is seeking a Part-Time Commis Chef with a passion for Japanese and Asian flavours. You’ll work in a fast-paced kitchen, crafting beautifully presented dishes from prep to plate while upholding the highest hygiene and guest service standards.

With a Commercial Cookery qualification and 1–2 years’ experience, you’ll contribute to a dynamic, high-performing team, support other sections, and adapt to a 24/7 roster including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Commercial Cookery qualification and 1–2 years culinary experience.
• Experience with Japanese or Asian cuisine is essential.
• Understanding of HACCP and compliance with local food handling laws.
• Strong communication, reading, writing and basic maths.
• Legal eligibility to work in Australia.

Responsabilités

• Preparing and presenting Japanese-inspired dishes with precision, creativity, and consistency.
• Ensuring quality and authenticity in every dish, from sushi and sashimi to hot dishes and sauces.
• Keeping up to date with new recipes, ingredients, and techniques in Japanese and Asian fusion cooking.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-stocked work area in line with hygiene regulations.
• Pitching in with team duties as needed—including cleaning, prep, or assisting other sections.
