Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage a section independently or with minimal supervision.
• Passion for food, quality and continuous learning.
• Ability to work under pressure and stay composed during busy periods.
• Flexibility to work night, weekend and holiday shifts.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen best practices.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and production of high-quality dishes across the kitchen.
• Take ownership for your workstation – manage supplies, equipment and waste to meet mise en place and service needs.
• Maintain cleanliness to meet HACCP requirements.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Contribute to menu development, daily specials and new dish ideas.
• Collaborate with the demi chef, Chef de Partie and Sous Chef for smooth operations.
