Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of hot meals, ready-to-eat dishes and takeaway food.
• Manage daily food preparation to ensure products are fresh, well-presented and available during trading hours.
• Maintain consistent food quality, portion control, taste and presentation.
• Monitor food stock levels, assist with ordering and minimise food waste.
• Ensure all food is handled, stored and displayed in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen and food preparation area.
• Work collaboratively with the supermarket team to support the smooth day-to-day operation of the hot food section.

About you

• Previous experience as a chef, cook or in a commercial kitchen environment.
• Strong food preparation and cooking skills, with the ability to work independently.
• A good understanding of food safety, hygiene and safe food handling practices.
