Job summary

Georges River Council is seeking an Early Childhood Educator (Certificate III) for the Oatley West Early Learning Centre. This permanent part-time role focuses on delivering high-quality learning experiences for children, while supporting families and colleagues in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Children’s Services (or equivalent) is required.
• NSW Working with Children Check is required and must be valid for at least six months.
• First Aid Certificate including Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management.
• NSW Department of Education‑approved Child Protection Training Certificate.
• National Child Safety certification and Food Handling training or certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate programs for children.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with children and families through respectful communication.
• Promote inclusive, child-centred practice and assist with daily routines and program delivery.
• Maintain health, safety, hygiene, and wellbeing standards and follow Council policies.
