Job summary

Bayside Council is hiring an Early Childhood Educator for Garrigarrang Early Education and Care (Kogarah). This permanent part-time role requires an Approved Certificate III in Education and Care and relevant experience with children aged 0–5, with emphasis on inclusive practices and child safety.

You will plan and deliver a program aligned with the National Learning Framework, maintain confidential records, and meet regulatory obligations while engaging with families and the Educational Leader.

Qualifications

• Approved Certificate III level education and care qualification and relevant experience with children 0–5 years.
• Current First Aid Certificate relevant to the role.
• Working with Children Check (NSW) required.
• Approved Child Protection training.
• Knowledge of Education and Care Services National Law and National Quality Framework.

Responsibilities

• Promote inclusive practice to support families from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Provide physical care and respond to children's emotional needs to maintain trust.
• Develop and implement a quality educational program aligned with the National Learning Framework.
• Maintain confidential and accurate records to meet regulatory requirements.
• Undertake mandatory reporting to adhere to Child Protection guidelines.
