Quindus Pty Ltd in Richlands is seeking a proactive Accountant to join our Support Office team. You will deliver accurate financial information, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and contribute to strengthening the team's capabilities.

Responsibilities include end-of-month journals, reporting, BAS/FBT, asset register maintenance, budgeting support, and audit responses, with guidance to junior staff and a focus on process improvement.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CA/CPA qualification or working towards it.
• Strong MS Excel skills and experience using ERP systems.
• Solid understanding of Australian Accounting Standards.
• Proven ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor team members.

Responsabilidades

• Calculate and post end-of-month provision and accrual journals.
• Prepare end-of-month and end-of-year reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations and lease accounting journals.
• Prepare financial reports for internal and external use.
• Prepare BAS and FBT returns.
• Maintain the asset register and manage additions/disposals.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Respond to audit requests and provide supporting schedules and documentation.
• Review the work of team members and provide guidance.
• Prepare lease accounting journals and reconciliations (AASB16).
• Stay up to date with compliance requirements (GST, FBT, Australian Accounting Standards).
• Identify and resolve existing and emerging accounting issues.
• Evaluate processes and workload to maximise efficiency.
• Assist with other finance team tasks as required.

You will be a skilled and enthusiastic Accountant to join our Support Office team in Richlands, supporting our broader network of businesses including RDO Equipment, Vermeer Australia and Inland Truck Centres.

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Accountant to join our Richlands office. You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial information, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and sharing your expertise to strengthen the team’s overall capability.

• Calculate and post end‑of‑month provision and accrual journals
• Prepare end‑of‑month and end‑of‑year reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations and lease accounting journals
• Prepare financial reports for internal and external use
• Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns
• Maintain the asset register and manage additions/disposals
• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Respond to audit requests and provide supporting schedules and documentation as required
• Review the work of team members and providing guidance
• Prepare lease accounting journals and reconciliations (compliant with AASB16)
• Stay up to date with compliance requirements (e.g., GST, FBT, Australian Accounting Standards)
• Identify and propose resolution for existing and emerging accounting issues
• Evaluate processes and workload to maximise efficiency
• Assist where required with other finance team tasks and responsibilities

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

• Experience in a similar accounting role
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• CA/CPA qualified (or working towards it)
• Strong MS Excel skills and experience using ERP systems
• A solid understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
• A proven ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, and work independently
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor team members
