Job summary

RDO Equipment Australia is seeking a proactive Accountant to join our Richlands Support Office. You will deliver timely financial information, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and share expertise to strengthen the finance team.

You will handle end-of-month close, reporting, BAS/FBT returns, asset management, budgeting and audits, while mentoring colleagues and staying current with GST and AAS requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CA/CPA qualification (or working towards it).
• Strong MS Excel skills and ERP systems experience.
• Solid understanding of Australian Accounting Standards.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and post end of month provision and accrual journals.
• Prepare end-of-month and end-of-year reporting with balance sheet reconciliations and lease accounting journals.
• Prepare BAS and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns.
• Maintain asset register and manage additions/disposals.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting; respond to audit requests with schedules.
• Review team work and provide guidance to junior staff.
• Stay up to date with GST and Australian Accounting Standards.
